The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems will conduct an accreditation site visit of PHI Air Medical, LLC/Air Evac Services on May 14 - 18, 2018 for Arizona and New Mexico Bases.

To better serve its customers and improve safety, Air Evac-21 has upgraded its emergency flight capability with the purchase of an AS350 B3e Airbus helicopter. The old aircraft was repurposed for use at a different base in Phoenix.

The quietude of the moment is profound until it is broken by a call; a cry of distress. Kelly's instincts cause her to rise, and she calmly but swiftly makes her way to the control room. There she meets with her pilot. He runs through his preflight checklist, gauges weather conditions, and determines that everything is a go. Within no time, she is off the ground and on her way to save the life of one in desperate need.

Seventeen million Americans admitted to driving drunk at some point in 2010, according to a recent study by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Amazingly, if this same group of people lived in the same state, it would rank fifth in size between Florida and Illinois. Despite significant improvements over the last decade, the statistics remain sobering: 27 people die every day in alcohol related traffic crashes, representing more than one third of all traffic fatalities. Drunken driving and alcohol abuse in general remain a major problem for the American health care system, consuming large amounts of much needed and stretched thin resources and funds.
